The game has a good foundation but i'd definitely say that you should make some changes. The boss mostly does 4 attacks: the charge, the diamond attack, the triangle attack, and the screen lasers with most of the time just using the lasers and the diamonds. If these were the only attacks for phase 1 that would be fine but from what ive seen there are two more: The rectangle lasers, and the bombs. So I'd say definitely make those attacks more prone to happening unless they're phase two and I just haven't noticed but if thats the case then make a cutscene or sfx or something to tell the player they're in second phase. Another issue I had was that the vfx was way too bright and I dont have epilepsy or anything but I'd say turn it down just a bit because without the effect it just looks a bit boring and plain. And I found out that there isn't a hit box for the white parts of the boss at all and it makes the charging attack kinda pointless so I'd say add that too. And the accuracy on the gun is horrible so you cant be too far away or you just wont hit the boss and when your right in the boss's face it loses health way too quickly and you get it almost half dead before the 3rd attack starts which makes it way better to be melee if you will so I'd say make the bullets a bit bigger and make the bullet accuracy better while making the bullets do a lot less damage. Other than this though the game is pretty cool and I can tell you put some work into this. I can't really speak too much on the coding because I use gdevelop but I know it takes a very long time and you putting this together is really cool. If you make these changes and maybe add a few touch ups with the sprites this would in my opinion be a lot better :).

Thanks for the feedback! This would've been great to know this morning when i was basically idle lol. There arent really any phases, more just that the boss speeds up over time. The bombs and the "rectangle lazers" (I assume you're talking about the longer purpleish lazers) are a bit rare, as they only have a like 15% chance of occurring (i think?) per attack cycle, compared to the rest of the attacks, which have a pretty likely chance of comboing with similar attacks. The charge "attack" isnt actually an attack, and it's more to just make you have to move a lot more (since the boss is more accurate than the homing missiles, or triangles). The VFX were a lot but that was kinda intended ig, but i probably could've turned them down more lol. The bullets tearing the boss apart is kinda intended since you cant easily hit the boss from far away (like u said) and the boss gets extremely difficult near the end. Also I suck at art so that's why there arent any sprites lol. Thanks for playing! <3

Oooh ok thank you for telling me that it is intended personally I just think its a bit off since its still a range weapon but I understand your point. And you just not wanting to do art is completely understandable as it can take VERY long sometimes. However (And I understand that I wasn't very clear on this) by "rectangle lasers" I meant the ones that orbit around the boss sorry :P. And the charge attack making you move a lot more is very good for certain combos now that I understand what you were going for. Like I said this is still a really good game and I like the boss attacks and stuff so you taking your time to make something like this is really cool!
